From Máchovo jezero, head northwest on the main road towards Doksy. Continue on the road until you reach the sign for Staré Splavy. Turn left onto Pobřežní Street. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers. You will see the Staré Splavy Dam on your right. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it may incur a small fee depending on the time of your visit.

Public Transportation
Start at the main bus station in Máchovo jezero. Take bus number 434 towards Doksy. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Staré Splavy' stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 800 meters along Pobřežní Street towards the dam. The Staré Splavy Dam will be on your left. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return trips as they may vary.

If you are in the vicinity of Máchovo jezero and prefer a scenic walk, you can walk directly to Staré Splavy Dam. Take the lakeside path heading north from Máchovo jezero. Follow the path for about 2 kilometers until you reach Pobřežní Street. Turn right and walk for another 1 kilometer. The dam will be on your left. This walk is approximately 3 kilometers in total and offers beautiful views of the lake.
