Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Liberec, take the E442 road south towards Turnov. After approximately 30 km, take the exit toward Houska/Doksy. Follow the signs to Houska, which is about 10 km from the main road. As you approach Houska, keep an eye out for the castle, which is situated on the left side of the road. There is a parking area close to the castle, which is free of charge.

Public Transportation

To reach Houska Castle by public transport, you can take a train from Liberec to Doksy. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Doksy, you will need to take bus number 460, which runs frequently to Houska. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. The bus stop is located a short walk from the castle entrance. Be sure to check the current bus schedule as it may vary.

If you find yourself in the village of Houska, the castle is within walking distance. From the village center, simply follow the signs towards Houska Castle. It is about a 15-minute walk, approximately 1 km, and the path is well-marked and easy to navigate.
