Getting there

Bus

From Olomouc city center, head to the main bus station (Autobusové nádraží Olomouc). Take bus number 800 or 810 towards Blansko. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the Blansko bus station. From there, you can take a local bus (line 21) to the Macocha Abyss stop (Propast Macocha). The bus ride to Macocha will take around 15 minutes.

Train

Make your way to the Olomouc hlavní nádraží (main train station). Take a train towards Blansko, which usually takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Blansko train station, exit the station and look for bus line 21. Board the bus towards Macocha Abyss and enjoy a 15-minute ride to your destination.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Olomouc. Start from the city center and head southeast towards Blansko, following the cycling paths. The distance is about 20 km, and it should take approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Blansko, follow the signs to Macocha Abyss, which is a few kilometers away.

Walking

Walking to Macocha Abyss from Olomouc is not practical due to the distance (approximately 20 km), but if you're feeling adventurous, you can start by walking to the bus or train station and then take public transport as described above. Alternatively, you can enjoy the local sights of Olomouc on foot before using public transport to reach Macocha.
