Getting There

    If you are in the heart of Nové Město, you can easily walk to Wenceslas Square. Start at the intersection of Národní třída and Vodičkova Street. Head northeast on Vodičkova Street towards Václavské náměstí, which is the Czech name for Wenceslas Square. The square will be directly ahead after about a 10-minute walk. You will notice the National Museum at the top of the square as you approach.

  • Tram

    Another option is to take the tram. Locate the nearest tram stop, 'Národní třída'. From there, board tram number 3, 10, or 14 in the direction of 'Dvorce'. Get off at the 'Václavské náměstí' stop, which is just a short walk from Wenceslas Square. The tram ride will cost you around 32 CZK and you will need to purchase a ticket from a vending machine or a nearby kiosk before boarding.

  • Metro

    You can also use the metro system. Find the nearest metro station, which is 'Muzeum' on Line A (green line) or Line C (red line). If you are on Line A, take the train in the direction of 'Depo Hostivař' and get off at 'Muzeum' station. If you are on Line C, head towards 'Nádraží Holešovice' and also get off at 'Muzeum'. From there, you will see Wenceslas Square just a short walk away. A single metro ticket costs 32 CZK and can be purchased at ticket machines.
