Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Vimperk, which is conveniently located near Šumava National Park. Head northwest on the Road 39 (E49) towards Nové Hutě. After approximately 12 km, turn left onto Road 171 towards Lípa. Follow this road for about 6 km, and you will arrive at Lípa. There are no tolls on this route, and parking is available at designated areas in Lípa.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, begin your journey at Vimperk train station. Take a train towards Strakonice, and get off at the Nové Hutě station. From there, you can catch a local bus that operates frequently to Lípa. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Make sure to check the local schedule for the most accurate times. A single bus ticket typically costs around CZK 25.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Vimperk. From the town center, follow the cycling paths towards Nové Hutě, which is approximately 12 km away. Continue on the designated bike paths until you reach Lípa. This route is scenic and relatively flat, making it an enjoyable ride. Just be mindful of local traffic and weather conditions.

• Walking

  For adventurous travelers, walking from Vimperk to Lípa is an option. This journey is about 18 km and will take roughly 4-5 hours. The route follows scenic trails through the forests of Šumava National Park. Start by heading northwest out of Vimperk, following signs for hiking trails towards Nové Hutě, and continue onto the paths leading directly to Lípa. Ensure you have adequate supplies and wear suitable footwear.
