Hrad Lopata, located near Milínov, is a castle ruin with a history dating back to the 14th century. The castle was likely founded between 1367 and 1377 by Heřman of Litic. The name Lopata is believed to be derived from the shape of the rock on which it stands. In 1397, the castle was seized by bandits, leading to a siege by royal forces. King Wenceslaus IV gifted the castle to Maršík of Hrádek in 1401. During the Hussite wars, Habart of Lopata, a knight, used the castle as a base for raiding. In 1433, Hussite forces captured and destroyed the castle after a lengthy siege. The castle was never rebuilt. Today, visitors can explore the remains of the castle, including the foundations of a round tower, a cistern carved into the rock, and remnants of the palace. The site is freely accessible and offers hiking trails with scenic views.
