    If you are traveling by car, head to Delaware City. From I-95, take exit 4B for DE-1 N toward New Castle. Merge onto DE-1 N and follow signs for DE-9 N. Continue on DE-9 N for approximately 10 miles until you reach Delaware City. Once in Delaware City, turn onto Clinton St. Fort Delaware State Park will be located at 45 Clinton St, Delaware City, DE 19706. There is no entrance fee for the park itself, but be aware that ferry fees may apply if you are taking the ferry to the fort.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, you can take a DART First State bus to Delaware City. The nearest bus stop is on Route 9. From there, it is a short walk to Clinton St. After arriving in Delaware City, walk towards 45 Clinton St where Fort Delaware State Park is located. Be sure to check the DART First State schedule for the most current bus times, as services may vary, especially on weekends.

  • Ferry

    Once you arrive at Delaware City, you will need to take a ferry to reach Fort Delaware State Park. The ferry service operates seasonally, typically from May through September.
