From Middletown, DE, take DE-896 N/S Broad St, then turn right onto DE-299 E/Main St. Continue onto DE-15 N/N Broad St. Turn right onto DE-9 N/Bay Rd. Follow DE-9 N to St Augustine Rd in Port Penn. Parking is available at the Augustine Beach parking lot. There are no parking fees.

If starting from the Port Penn Interpretive Center, the Augustine Wildlife Area trails are directly across the street. Cross Liberty Street (Route 9) to access the Port Penn Trail. The trail is a one-mile path that runs between a tidal marsh and the Delaware River.
