From Blackbird State Forest, head southwest on Blackbird Landing Rd. Continue for about 5 miles, then turn left onto DE-299 W. Follow DE-299 W for about 4 miles until you reach the intersection with US-13 N. Merge onto US-13 N and continue for 5 miles. Take the exit toward DE-273 E/New Castle. Continue onto DE-273 E for about 2 miles, then turn right onto E 4th St. The Amstel House Museum will be on your left at 2 E 4th St, New Castle, DE 19720.

To reach the Amstel House Museum from Blackbird State Forest via public transportation, you will need to first get to the nearest bus stop. Depending on your starting point, you may need a taxi or rideshare to get to the nearest bus service. Once at the bus stop, take the DART First State Bus Route 33 towards New Castle. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the stop closest to DE-273 E. Walk east on DE-273 E for about 0.5 miles, then turn left onto E 4th St. The Amstel House Museum will be on your left at 2 E 4th St, New Castle, DE 19720. Please check the DART schedule for exact times, as service may vary.
