Driving
Fort Miles Museum is located within Cape Henlopen State Park. From Lewes, follow Cape Henlopen Drive into the park. Once inside the park, follow signs for Fort Miles. Parking is available near the Orientation Building and Battery 519. Park entrance fees are in effect from March 1 to November 30: $5 daily for Delaware-registered vehicles and $10 daily for out-of-state vehicles. Annual passes are also available.
Walking/Biking
If you are already within Cape Henlopen State Park, you can walk or bike to Fort Miles Museum. From the main park road, follow the signs directing you towards the museum. The walk or bike ride will take about 15-20 minutes depending on your starting location within the park. The path is scenic and well-maintained, offering views of the natural surroundings.
Public Transport
The DART Route 204 bus stops near Cape Henlopen State Park. From the bus stop at the Drba Ferry Terminal, it is approximately a 50-minute walk to the Fort Miles Museum. Check DART's schedule for Route 204 for times and connections. A single ride fare is $2.00.
