Discover more about Rehoboth Beach Bandstand

The Rehoboth Beach Bandstand is a vibrant music and entertainment venue that has been a cornerstone of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for over six decades. Established in 1963, the bandstand offers free entertainment to visitors and residents alike during the summer months. The bandstand's story began when Mr. William Hayes, a local musician, sought permission from the city to host local bands on the grassy area at the end of Rehoboth Avenue. This space, known as "the green," quickly became a popular spot for community gatherings and musical performances. Over the years, the city constructed a bandstand structure, which was later replaced in 2006 with the current bandstand. Today, the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand Summer Concert Series takes place annually from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Over 40 bands, selected to perform in the open-air venue, provide free entertainment. Performances typically begin at 8 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. The venue has become a cultural and historical landmark, hosting thousands of visitors and residents each year.
