    Getting There

    Driving

    From Lewes, DE, head east on Cape Henlopen Drive. Continue on Cape Henlopen Drive for approximately 3 miles until you reach the entrance to Cape Henlopen State Park. Follow the signs to the Seaside Nature Center, located within the park. Note that there is a park entrance fee of $5 for Delaware residents and $10 for out-of-state residents, which is in effect from March 1 to November 30. Parking is available near the Nature Center. Parking is included in the park entrance fee.

    Biking

    From Lewes, DE, follow the Junction and Breakwater Trail towards Cape Henlopen State Park. This scenic trail connects Lewes to the park. Once inside the park, follow the bike paths to the Seaside Nature Center. Bike rentals are available in Lewes, with prices varying depending on the rental shop and duration. Alternatively, borrow a bike for free at the Seaside Nature Center.

    Walking

    From the Cape Henlopen State Park campground, follow the marked trails towards the Seaside Nature Center. The walk is approximately 1-2 miles, depending on your campsite location. Refer to the park map for specific trail routes. Ensure you have appropriate footwear for walking on sand and paved surfaces. There are no additional costs if you are already within the park.
