Getting There
Driving
From Lewes, DE, follow Cape Henlopen Drive north towards the park entrance. After passing the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal , continue for approximately 1 mile to reach the park entrance. Note that entrance fees are required from March 1 to November 30: $5/day for Delaware vehicles, $10/day for out-of-state vehicles. Parking is available throughout the park, but can be limited during peak season.
Public Transport
The Cape May-Lewes Ferry connects Cape May, NJ, to Lewes, DE. From the Lewes Ferry terminal, Cape Henlopen State Park is approximately 1 mile away. You can walk, bike, or take a taxi/rideshare to the park entrance. Taxi/rideshare services are readily available at the ferry terminal. A short taxi ride to the park entrance will cost approximately $10-$15, plus park entrance fees.
Walking
From the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal , you can walk to the entrance of Cape Henlopen State Park in about 20-25 minutes. Follow Cape Henlopen Drive north. The park entrance will be on your right. Be aware of traffic and weather conditions. Upon entering the park, you will be required to pay the entrance fee: $5/day for Delaware vehicles, $10/day for out-of-state vehicles.
