Getting There

  • Car

    From Fort Delaware State Park, exit the park and head northeast on Fort Delaware State Park Road. Turn left onto Route 9 (S. Dupont Highway) and continue to follow DE-9 N for approximately 4 miles. Merge onto Route 1 N via the ramp to Wilmington. After 7 miles, take exit 136 toward Middletown. Merge onto DE-299 E and follow it for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 71. Turn left onto Route 71 and drive for about 1 mile. The William V Roth Jr. Bridge will be visible as you approach, and you can park in the designated areas nearby.
