Walking
From Main Street in Newark, head south on South College Avenue. The Newark Historical Society is located in the old train station, just before the South College Avenue bridge, on the right-hand side. The walk is approximately 0.5 miles and takes about 10-15 minutes.
Public Transport
The Newark Regional Transportation Center is located at 10 Mopar Drive, a short distance from the Newark Historical Society. From the Transportation Center, walk north on South College Avenue. The Newark Historical Society will be on your left, just past the South College Avenue bridge. DART First State operates bus routes that serve the area. Check their website for schedules and fares. A single ride fare is typically around $2.
Driving
From I-95, take exit 1B for Route 896 North toward Newark. Follow Route 896 North, which becomes South College Avenue. The Newark Historical Society will be on your right, just before the railroad bridge. Parking is available on the street and in nearby municipal lots. Metered street parking costs $2.25 per hour. Municipal parking lots charge $2.00 per hour. Check signage for specific time limits and payment methods.
