    If you are in downtown Newark, start at the intersection of Main Street and Delaware Avenue. After passing the University of Delaware's main campus, you will see a sign for Roger Martin Lane on your right. Turn onto Roger Martin Lane and walk straight for about 0.2 miles. The University of Delaware Botanic Gardens will be on your left, at the address 211 Roger Martin Ln.

    From downtown Newark, you can take the DART First State bus service. Head to the nearest bus stop at Main Street and Delaware Avenue. Look for the bus route that services the University of Delaware; usually, the DART bus number 1 will take you towards the campus. After approximately 10-15 minutes, get off at the stop closest to South College Avenue and Roger Martin Lane. Walk about 0.2 miles on Roger Martin Lane, and you will reach the University of Delaware Botanic Gardens at 211 Roger Martin Ln.
