Start from the Newark Train Station located at 100 S Main St, Newark, DE 19711. Head northeast on S Main St toward E Park Pl. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with E Delaware Ave. Turn right onto E Delaware Ave and continue for about 0.3 miles. Then, turn left onto New London Rd and walk for another 0.3 miles. As you approach the intersection with Old Baltimore Pike, you will see the entrance to Newark Reservoir on your right. Follow the signs to the reservoir.

If you are near the University of Delaware, begin at the main campus area. Head south on S College Ave, then take a left onto E Park Pl. Cycle straight for about 0.4 miles, then turn right onto E Delaware Ave. Continue for about 0.2 miles before turning left onto New London Rd. The Newark Reservoir entrance will be on your right after about 0.3 miles. This route is bike-friendly and offers a scenic view.
