The museum will be on your left. Walking this route takes approximately 15 minutes. There is no cost associated with walking.

    From the Wilmington Transit Center, take the DART bus number 16 towards 'Riverfront'. After about a 10-minute ride, disembark at the stop for 'Justison Street'. The Delaware Children's Museum will be a short walk from there. A single ride on DART costs $2.

The Delaware Children's Museum, located on Wilmington's Riverfront, is dedicated to developing creative minds through the power of playful learning. Opened in April 2010, the DCM is the only children's museum in Delaware, offering a unique environment where kids can explore and learn through interactive exhibits. The museum features a variety of exhibits designed to engage children of all ages and learning styles. ECOnnect allows kids to discover nature with a stream table to explore water locks and wind power. The centerpiece, the Stratosphere, is a three-story climbing structure where children can learn about the Earth's atmosphere. Other exhibits include Training Wheels, a transportation-themed area for toddlers; Structures, where kids learn about the building industry; and S.T.E.M., a space for science experiments and activities. The museum also hosts the Earth Balloon, an inflatable globe for interactive learning. The DCM aims to provide a comfortable, accessible, and stimulating environment for families. The museum is also a venue for birthday parties, field trips, and other child-friendly programs. It also provides focused field trips for schools, such as “Water Wise” and “Healthy Body, Healthy Minds”. With its hands-on exhibits and focus on science, math, and technology, the Delaware Children's Museum offers a fun and educational experience for the whole family.
