Getting There

• Car

  From any location in The Dover Metropolitan Area, navigate to Route 1. Take the exit for Route 8, heading east towards Dover. Continue straight until you reach White Oak Road. Turn left onto White Oak Road and you will find Dover Park at 1210 White Oak Rd, Dover, DE 19901 on your right. There is usually free parking available at the park.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, check the DART First State bus schedule for routes that service the Dover area. Take bus route 103 or 104 towards Dover. Get off at the nearest stop to the intersection of Route 8 and White Oak Road. From there, walk about 0.3 miles (approximately 7 minutes) down White Oak Road. Dover Park will be on your left at 1210 White Oak Rd, Dover, DE 19901. Please check the DART bus fare schedule as there may be a small fee for riding the bus.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, you can access various bike paths in Dover. If you’re near the downtown area, ride towards Route 8, and then take a left onto White Oak Road. The park is about 1.5 miles from the downtown area, and there are bike racks available at Dover Park. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all bike safety rules.

• Walking

  If you're staying nearby or are already in the vicinity, walking to Dover Park is a pleasant option. From downtown Dover, head east on Loockerman St, then turn left onto State St. Continue until you reach Route 8, then turn right and walk straight until you reach White Oak Road. Turn left and walk about 0.5 miles to find Dover Park at 1210 White Oak Rd, Dover, DE 19901. The walk should take about 20-25 minutes.
