Great way to see Copenhagen's points of interest

The Copenhagen Hop On Hop Off tour was a very convenient way to hit all the highlights considering we were on a cruise, so had limited time in Copenhagen. The bus came right to the cruise port, so the added bonus was we did not have to take a shuttle or taxi from the cruise port. Stromma does a great job with their Hop On Hop Off tours and seem to have better consistency with bus timings.

During my recent trip to Copenhagen, I decided to try something different. Instead of the usual hop-on-hope-off bus tours, I opted for a walking tour. I found a tour titled “Highlights and hidden gems: Discover the Old Copenhagen in two hours”. The name intrigued me, so I decided to go for it. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I made during my travel. Our guide, Michael, was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, making the journey through the city’s streets both enjoyable and enlightening. Michael shared fascinating stories about Copenhagen’s rich history and vibrant culture. We visited many incredible places, including Fredriks Kirke, where the grandeur of its architecture and serene atmosphere left a lasting impression. At Nyboders Mindestuer, we delved into the history of the families who once lived there.Krusemyntegade was another highlight, with its charming, colourful houses and rich history. Michael’s storytelling made this quaint area feel even more special. Rosenborg castle and surrounding King’s garden were breathtaking. Overall, the walking tour was a delightful blend of history, culture and story telling, all thanks to our wonderful guide Michael. It was an experience that made my trip to Copenhagen truly memorable.
