Hi, I'm Eve. Here are a few practical things to know before exploring Black Swan.

Metro and short walk
From central Copenhagen, take the M3 Cityringen metro to Marmorkirken Station, then walk for about 6–8 minutes to Borgergade. The total journey typically takes 10–15 minutes, depending on your starting point. A standard single metro ticket within the city zones usually costs around 20–30 DKK. Trains run frequently throughout the day and evening, making this a convenient option for visiting during the bar’s late opening hours.
City bus connection
Several city bus lines run through central Copenhagen and stop within a 5–10 minute walk of Borgergade, providing access from areas not served directly by the metro. Travel times are usually 10–25 minutes from most inner neighbourhoods, depending on traffic and the specific route. Expect to pay roughly 20–30 DKK for a single ticket, which can be used across buses and metro within the validity period. Evening services are regular but can be slightly less frequent late at night.
Bicycle
Copenhagen’s extensive cycle lanes make reaching Black Swan by bike straightforward. From many inner-city districts you can expect a ride of 10–20 minutes, mostly on dedicated cycling infrastructure. City bike-share schemes and rental shops offer bicycles, typically charging around 20–40 DKK per half hour for short hires or daily rates if you plan to use a bike all day. Remember to park only in designated areas along Borgergade or nearby streets to keep pavements clear.
Taxi or ride-hail
A taxi or licensed ride-hail from central locations such as the main station or Nyhavn area usually takes 5–15 minutes, depending on traffic. Fares commonly range from about 80–160 DKK within the central districts. This is the most comfortable option late at night after the bar closes, especially in poor weather. Taxis are metered and widely available, but demand can be higher on weekend nights and during major city events.
