Metro
Take the Metro (M3 or M4 line) to Gammel Strand Station. From there, walk southwards toward Slotsholmen for approximately 5–8 minutes. The museum entrance is marked with a large yellow signboard reading 'Krigsmuseet' and is located at Tøjhusgade 3. This is the most direct and reliable option, especially in winter weather.
Bus
Several bus routes serve the area: take bus 2A, 23, 26, 31, or 37 to stops near Børsen or Det Kongelige Bibliotek. From these stops, walk 3–5 minutes toward Tøjhusgade. Bus service runs frequently throughout the day, though journey times vary depending on traffic and your starting point (typically 10–20 minutes from central Copenhagen).
Walking
The museum is centrally located on Slotsholmen, within walking distance of major Copenhagen attractions. From Kongens Nytorv (approximately 8 minutes walk) or Christianshavn (approximately 10 minutes walk), follow signs toward Christiansborg Palace and Slotsholmen. The route is flat and well-marked, making it accessible for most visitors.
Bicycle
Copenhagen's extensive cycle network makes cycling a viable option. Bike racks are available near the museum entrance. From most central locations, the ride takes 5–15 minutes depending on your starting point. Winter conditions may affect cycling comfort, but dedicated cycle lanes provide safe passage year-round.
