Discover more about Secret Bay

Secret Bay, located near Portsmouth, Dominica, is more than just a resort; it's an experience meticulously crafted for discerning travelers seeking an escape into nature without sacrificing luxury. Founded on the dream of owner Gregor Nassief to create a harmonious home within Dominica's wild, forested cliffs, Secret Bay has evolved into a world-renowned eco-luxury destination. The resort's history is rooted in a love story, with the initial villa design gifted by the father of Gregor's wife, Sandra, the celebrated Latin American architect Fruto Vivas. With a limited number of sustainably constructed villas, Secret Bay offers an unparalleled level of privacy and personalized service. Each villa blends high design with local craftsmanship, featuring open-air plans, private plunge pools, and dedicated villa hosts. The commitment to sustainability is evident in every detail, from the use of sustainably sourced Guyanese Greenheart wood to the locally made furniture crafted from Dominican Red Cedar. The resort has also rebuilt and reopened in November 2018 after being damaged by Hurricane Maria. Guests can indulge in unique experiences such as dining at the open-air Zing Zing restaurant with its no-menu concept, rejuvenating at the treehouse-style Gommier Spa, or exploring the coastline with complimentary kayaks and snorkeling gear. Secret Bay boasts access to two secluded beaches, Tibay Beach and Secret Beach, each offering a unique perspective on Dominica's natural beauty. The resort's dedication to preserving the environment extends to its culinary practices, with fresh, organic ingredients sourced from local farmers and fishermen.
