Getting There

Public Transport

From Roseau, take a minibus heading towards Rosalie. The fare is approximately EC$3-5. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Wavine Cyrique Falls, south of Rosalie near Riviere Cyrique. From the drop-off point, walk along the road towards the trailhead, following signs for Wavine Cyrique. The walk to the trailhead is about 20-30 minutes. Be aware that the bus does not go directly to the trailhead.
Taxi/Ride-Share

A taxi from Roseau to the Wavine Cyrique trailhead will cost approximately EC$80-100. Negotiate the fare beforehand. The taxi will drop you off as close as possible to the trailhead. From there, it's a 15-minute walk to the start of the descent. There are no ride-share services available.
Walking

From Rosalie, walk south along the main road for approximately 500 meters until you see the sign for Wavine Cyrique. Turn onto the signposted residential road east towards the coast.

The trailhead is located a short distance from the main road, marked by a sign pointing towards Riviere Cyrique. As you approach the cliff's edge, the trail becomes steeper and more challenging, requiring the use of ropes and ladders to navigate the descent. This moderately difficult hike adds an element of excitement and makes the destination all the more rewarding. The descent involves navigating steep, rocky sections, often using tree roots and branches for support. A sturdy rope ladder is fixed to a vertical rock face, providing a crucial aid in reaching the lower portion of the trail.Upon reaching the black sand beach, you'll be greeted by the awe-inspiring sight of Wavine Cyrique Falls. The waterfall drops at a height of about 150 feet. The location is stunning with the sheer cliff to your left, the Atlantic Ocean to your right, lush vegetation in your back and the waterfall right in front of you. Swimming is strongly discouraged due to strong undercurrents. For safety reasons, guides advise that the best time to visit Wavine Cyrique Falls is during the dry season of December to April since the waterfall and beach are prone to heavy flooding during the wet season.
