If you are driving from the center of Barahona, start by heading southwest on Avenida 27 de Febrero. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Francisco del Rosario Sanchez. Turn left onto Sanchez and follow the road until you reach the intersection with Carretera Barahona-Enriquillo. Turn right onto this main road and continue for about 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Loma del Colibri' as you approach the area. The entrance to the Reserva Ecologica will be on your right.

To reach Loma del Colibri using public transportation, head to the main bus terminal in Barahona. Look for a bus or 'carro publico' heading towards Enriquillo. Once on the bus, you will need to inform the driver that you want to get off at the entrance to Loma del Colibri. The fare is typically around 50-100 Dominican Pesos. After getting off, walk about 500 meters towards the entrance of the reserve, which should be clearly marked.
