Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Bayahibe, head towards the main road (Carretera Bayahibe). Walk eastward for about 10-15 minutes until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path leading towards Dominicus. Continue straight on this road for approximately 20 minutes, following the signs for Playa Pública Dominicus. You'll pass by several small shops and restaurants along the way. After you see the sign for the beach, turn right onto a small path that leads directly to Playa Pública Dominicus.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in Bayahibe. Start by biking east on Carretera Bayahibe, following the same route as if walking. The ride will take around 10-12 minutes. Pay attention to the road signs directing you to Dominicus. When you reach the fork, take the left path and continue biking straight. Once you see the sign for Playa Pública Dominicus, take the right path that leads to the beach. Make sure to park your bike in a safe spot before heading to the sand.

• Public Transport

  From the main square in Bayahibe, look for a local 'carro publico' (shared taxi) that is heading towards Dominicus. The fare is usually around 50-100 Dominican Pesos. Inform the driver that you want to go to Playa Pública Dominicus. The journey will take about 10 minutes. After you arrive, you'll need to walk a short distance from where the carro publico drops you off to reach the beach entrance.
