Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the town of Jarabacoa, take the Carretera La Vega-Jarabacoa (also known as the DR-1) heading towards La Vega. After approximately 20 km, turn left onto the DR-28 road towards the direction of Manabao. Continue on DR-28 for about 14 km until you reach the junction with the road leading to Salto de Aguas Blancas. You will see signs indicating the direction to the waterfall. Follow this road for about 6 km until you reach the parking area near the waterfall. Please note that the last stretch of the road may be unpaved and bumpy, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

  • Public Transportation

    From Jarabacoa, you can take a 'carro público' (shared taxi) heading towards Manabao. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction of DR-28 and the road leading to Salto de Aguas Blancas. This ride will cost approximately 100-150 DOP (Dominican Pesos). Once at the junction, you may need to wait for a local motorcycle taxi (motoconcho) to take you the remaining 6 km to the waterfall for about 200 DOP. Be sure to negotiate the fare before getting on.

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can hike to Salto de Aguas Blancas from the nearest access point in Manabao. The hike is approximately 8 km and can take about 2-3 hours.
