Getting There

    From Sierra de Neiba, head north on the main highway (Carretera 1) towards the city of San José de Ocoa. Continue straight for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Carretera 44. Turn left onto Carretera 44 and follow the signs for Parque Nacional Valle Nuevo. After about 25 kilometers, you will arrive at the park entrance. Note that the road can be narrow and winding, so drive carefully.

    Take a local bus (guagua) from Sierra de Neiba to San José de Ocoa. The journey takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. Once in San José de Ocoa, look for another guagua that heads towards Parque Nacional Valle Nuevo.
