Bus
From La Romana, head to the main bus terminal, which is located on Av. Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deñó. Look for a bus heading to Higüey. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Higüey, get off at the Higüey bus terminal. From the terminal, it is about a 15-minute walk to the Basilica. Exit the terminal and head northwest on Av. Juan Pablo Duarte. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle San José. Turn left onto Calle San José and continue until you see the Basilica on your right at J78M+66H.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from La Romana to Higüey. You can find taxis near major hotels or you can ask your hotel to arrange one for you. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Basilica Nuestra Señora De La Altagracia, the driver should drop you off directly in front of the entrance.
