If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Las Terrenas. Head east on Av. Juan Pablo Duarte, which is the main road running through the town. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle 27 de Febrero. Turn right onto Calle 27 de Febrero and follow it until you see signs for Playa Escondida. After about 2 kilometers, look for a small dirt road on your left leading towards the beach. Drive down this road for approximately 500 meters until you reach the parking area. Please note that there may be a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a local 'guagua' (public minibus) from the main bus terminal in Las Terrenas. Look for a guagua heading towards Playa Las Terrenas or El Limón. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Playa Escondida. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, you may need to walk about 10-15 minutes down a dirt road that leads to the beach. Be sure to check if the guagua operates on your desired schedule, as they may not run frequently.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, you can also walk to Playa Escondida. From the center of Las Terrenas, head east along the beach road, which is known for its scenic views. Follow the coastline until you reach a small dirt road that leads to Playa Escondida. This walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, but it's a beautiful route with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the local scenery.
