If you're driving from the center of Las Terrenas, head east on Calle Principal towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Juan Pablo Duarte. Turn left onto Avenida Juan Pablo Duarte and follow it for about 2 km. As you approach the beach area, look for signs directing you towards Secret Beach. Keep an eye out for local landmarks, like the Playa Bonita, which is nearby. After passing Playa Bonita, you will see a sign for Secret Beach on the right. Follow this road until it ends at a small parking area. Parking may be limited, so arrive early if possible.
Public Transportation
To reach Secret Beach using public transportation, start by walking to the main bus terminal in Las Terrenas. Look for a local 'Guagua' (shared taxi) heading towards Playa Bonita. The fare is typically around 50-100 DOP (Dominican Pesos), depending on your negotiation skills. Once you arrive at Playa Bonita, you can either walk along the beach or ask a local for directions to Secret Beach. It's approximately a 15-20 minute walk from Playa Bonita to Secret Beach, and there are occasional signs along the way.
Walking
If you are already near the beach access points in Las Terrenas, you can walk to Secret Beach. From the main beach area, head towards Playa Bonita. When you reach Playa Bonita, continue walking along the shoreline. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, look for a path leading up to Secret Beach. This path may be a bit rugged, so wear appropriate footwear. The beach is quite secluded and offers a tranquil atmosphere.
