Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, begin your journey from the center of Los Haitises. Head towards the main road, following signs for Las Terrenas. The drive is approximately 30 kilometers and will take about 40 minutes. You will go through the towns of Sánchez and then continue on the main highway until you reach Las Terrenas. Once you arrive in Las Terrenas, look for signs to Playa Punta Popy. The beach is located at 8FGC+JH9, 27 de Febrero. There is street parking available nearby, but be aware that it might have a fee.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Playa Punta Popy using public transportation, start by finding a local 'guagua' (minibus) or taxi that travels to Las Terrenas from Los Haitises. The fare is usually around 100-200 Dominican Pesos (approximately $2-$4 USD) depending on your starting point. Once you arrive in Las Terrenas, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the beach, which is about a 10-minute drive from the town center. Make sure to confirm the fare with the taxi driver before starting your trip.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Las Terrenas and prefer to walk, head towards the beach area from the main town square. It is about a 20-minute walk from the center of Las Terrenas to Playa Punta Popy. Head south on 27 de Febrero, and follow the signs directing you to the beach. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, as you will pass by local shops and restaurants.
