If you're driving, start from the town of Samaná. Head east on Avenida 27 de Febrero and continue straight. After about 15 kilometers, turn left onto Carretera Samaná-El Limón. Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach a fork; take the right fork to stay on Carretera Samaná-El Limón. After approximately 5 kilometers, you'll see signs for Playa Colorada. Turn right onto the unpaved road leading to the beach. There is no entry fee, but be prepared for some rough patches. Parking is available near the beach.

To reach Playa Colorada via public transportation, start at the Samaná bus terminal. Look for a 'carrito' (shared taxi) heading towards Las Galeras. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Playa Colorada. The ride costs about 100 Dominican Pesos per person and takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the main road near Playa Colorada, you may need to walk about 10 minutes down the path to reach the beach. Be aware that the carritos may not run frequently, so plan accordingly.

If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Samaná town to Playa Colorada. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost around 800 to 1,200 Dominican Pesos for a one-way trip.
