Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Tena, which is approximately 30 kilometers from Ahuano. Take the E45 highway heading south towards Ahuano. Follow the signs for Ahuano and continue until you reach the town. Once in Ahuano, look for signs for 'Campococha' or 'Jungle Expeditions'. The lodge is located near the Campococha River. You may need to consult a local map or GPS for the last few kilometers, as the roads can be less marked.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Jungle Expeditions via public transportation, take a bus from Tena to Ahuano. The buses depart frequently from the main bus terminal in Tena, and the fare is typically around $1-2. Once you arrive in Ahuano, you can ask locals for directions to Campococha. Alternatively, you can hire a taxi from the bus stop to the lodge for a more direct route, which may cost about $5-10.

• Boat

  If you prefer a more scenic route, you can also reach Jungle Expeditions by boat. From Tena, travel to Ahuano by bus and then find a local boat service that operates along the Napo River to the vicinity of Campococha. The boat ride can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the water conditions. Be prepared for potential additional costs for the boat fare, which can range from $5-15.
