    If you are driving from the nearest major city, Lago Agrio, take the E45 highway towards Cuyabeno. After approximately 2 hours, you will reach the entrance of Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. Here, you may need to pay an entrance fee (around $10) to access the reserve. Once inside, follow the signs or GPS coordinates to Waita Amazon Lodge, which is located approximately 30 kilometers from the entrance. The road may become rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

    From Lago Agrio, catch a public bus heading to Cuyabeno or Sucumbíos. The bus ride takes about 2 hours and costs approximately $3.
