Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from the city of Tena. Head south on the E20 road towards Pantoja. After approximately 30 kilometers, turn onto the road leading to Parroquia Chontayacu. Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach Sunimón. Look for signs directing you to Yacuma EcoLodge. Please note that the road conditions may vary, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation
From Tena, take a bus to the town of Pantoja. Buses leave frequently from the terminal in Tena and the fare is usually around $2.50. After arriving in Pantoja, you will need to find a local taxi or shared taxi (known as a 'pick-up') to take you to Parroquia Chontayacu. The taxi ride should cost approximately $5-10 and takes about 30 minutes. Inform the driver you want to go to Yacuma EcoLodge in Sunimón, and they will know the way.

If you prefer a scenic route, consider driving to the nearest river port. Drive to the town of Puerto Napo, where you can park your car. From there, hire a canoe or small boat to take you downriver towards Sunimón. The boat ride typically costs around $15-20 per person and offers beautiful views of the Amazon rainforest. After disembarking at Sunimón, you can either walk or arrange for a local taxi to take you to Yacuma EcoLodge.
