Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Ambato, start at Parque Cevallos, a well-known landmark. From there, head east on Avenida Cevallos for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Calle Sucre. Turn right onto Calle Sucre and continue walking for approximately 300 meters. You will reach the Plaza de la Libertad. From the plaza, continue straight onto Calle 12 de Noviembre for about 400 meters until you reach Avenida 12 de Noviembre. Cross the avenue and continue straight. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the entrance to Quinta de Juan León Mera on your left. Look for the sign indicating the entrance.

  From the main bus terminal in Ambato, board any bus heading towards Ficoa. You can ask the driver or the staff at the terminal if they stop near 'Quinta de Juan León Mera.' The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop once you see the sign for the museum or ask the driver to let you know when you arrive. After getting off, walk about 5 minutes in the direction of the museum, following local signs or asking for directions if needed.
