Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Ambato, take the E35 highway towards Baños. Continue on E35 for approximately 60 kilometers until you reach the town of Baños de Agua Santa. Once in Baños, follow Av. Chamana. The Mama Tungu Hostel is located at Av. Chamana s/n, right in the center of town. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees that may apply.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mama Tungu Hostel using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Ambato to Baños de Agua Santa. Buses depart frequently from the terminal in Ambato, and the journey takes about an hour. Once you arrive at the Baños bus terminal, exit the terminal and walk towards Av. Chamana. The hostel is located a short 10-minute walk from the terminal at Av. Chamana s/n. Be prepared to ask locals for directions if needed, as it might be a little tricky to find.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Baños bus terminal to Mama Tungu Hostel. The taxi fare should be around $2 to $3, and the ride will take approximately 5 minutes. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

• Walking

  If you are already in Baños and want to take a leisurely approach, you can walk to Mama Tungu Hostel. From the center of Baños, simply head towards Av. Chamana. The hostel is located at Av. Chamana s/n. This walk should take about 15 minutes, and you can enjoy the beautiful sights of Baños along the way.
