This was a great experience in The Galapagos. All details were handled by Real Dreams tour company. Starting at the airport in Baltra, our guide Enrique met us inside the airport, led us to the line for the bus. He told us where to put our luggage and where to wait. The bus took us to a ferry. At the end of the ferry ride a driver was waiting to take us to the Tortoise Ranch. There we had lunch and Enrique gaves a tour of the grounds. Afterwards, our driver took us to our hotel in Santa Cruz. Enrique made sure we were checked in before leaving.... That is all the details for just one day. Each day involved more details. Everyday someone met us at our hotel to take us on an adventure. When we travelled to Isabella Island, our guide, Glenda, was waving at us from the docks. My grandson asked if I knew everyone in the Galapagos! All of our guides were local residents who shared their knowledge and insights. The only additional costs for us were the dollar per person water taxi rides and tips. We did some shopping, stopped for ice cream and had about 4 additional meals. No matter what, you will see the animals and experience the richness The Galapagos Islands have to offer. It's best with friends who take care of the details!

Sierra Negra Volcano Galapagos Horseback Riding & Hiking

A good day activity

Went with my 68 year old mother so we felt that a horse ride for the majority of the Sierra negra volcano would be easier than hiking the whole way. We had Luis as a guide who was friendly and knowledgeable. Joshua was there to help with the horses. We requested helmets which were provided. 30min drive to meet the horses, 5km horse ride, 4km hike to volcán chico, then 5km horse ride back to the car to drive back to Puerto Vilamil. Interesting volcanic landscapes and even saw an orange flycatcher! Horses were calm and safe. Lunch box was good with juice, sandwich, apple and biscuits. Picked up at 7:20 from our hotel, dropped back around 1:30pm so we could catch our 3pm ferry to Santa Cruz.

His professionalism and kindness added so much to our overall experience.The itinerary itself was perfectly designed, giving us the chance to explore the best of each island from snorkeling with playful sea lions and turtles to walking through volcanic landscapes, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and observing the unique wildlife that makes the Galápagos so extraordinary. Every day offered something different, and the logistics were seamless from start to finish.For a honeymoon, this trip was everything we hoped for: adventure, nature, incredible memories, and a team of people who truly love what they do.
