Car
From the town of Otavalo, head south on the Pan-American Highway (E35). After approximately 12 km, take the exit towards Cayambe/La Esperanza. Continue on this road for 14 km, and then turn left towards the Lagunas del Mojanda. Follow the signs indicating Lagunas del Mojanda. The last part of the road is unpaved but manageable. Parking is available near the lagoons.

Public Transportation
First, you will need to take a bus from Otavalo to Cayambe. Buses leave regularly from the Otavalo bus terminal and the fare is around $1. Once in Cayambe, you can find a taxi or a pickup truck that can take you to Lagunas del Mojanda. This part of the journey may cost between $5 to $10 depending on the number of passengers and negotiation. The drivers usually know the area well and can take you directly to the lagoons.

For the adventurous, if you're already in the area, you can hike from the nearest town, which is Cayambe. Begin your hike towards the lagoons by following the dirt paths that lead up the mountain.
