    If you are starting from the central Plaza de San Francisco, head west towards Calle 18 de Noviembre. Continue on this road for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Avenida Universitaria. Central Market will be on your right at the corner of 18 de Noviembre & Avenida Universitaria.

  • Walking

    From the Loja Cathedral, exit the cathedral and walk south on Calle Sucre. Continue walking for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Avenida 18 de Noviembre. Turn left (east) and walk for another 5 minutes. Central Market will be on your left at the corner of 18 de Noviembre & Avenida Universitaria.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    If you are near the Parque de la Independencia, you can take a local bus heading towards the central market area. Board any bus that has 'Mercado Central' or 'Centro' written on it. The bus will drop you off a short walk from Central Market. After getting off, walk east on Avenida 18 de Noviembre for about 2 minutes, and you will see the market on your right.

    If you are at the Loja Municipal Market (Mercado Municipal), walk east along Avenida 24 de Mayo for about 15 minutes. At the end of Avenida 24 de Mayo, turn left onto 18 de Noviembre and continue walking for about 5 minutes. Central Market will be directly in front of you at the intersection with Avenida Universitaria.
