Upon arrival at the Vilcabamba bus terminal, exit the bus and ask locals for directions to 'Sendero Cascada El Palto' or simply 'Cascada El Palto'.

From the Vilcabamba bus terminal, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the entrance of the Cascada El Palto trail. Head southeast on the main road (E35) and follow the signs towards 'Cascada El Palto' for about 15-20 minutes. You will pass by local shops and cafes, which can be good stops if you need refreshments. Continue along the road until you reach the entrance marked with signs for the waterfall. The trailhead is located at Sendero Cascada El Palto Km 2.
