Walking
From the center of Mindo, head south on the main road, Calle 9 de Octubre. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction at the end of the town, where the road splits. Take the path leading down to the right towards San Carlos. Continue on this path for approximately 20 minutes. You will pass through some beautiful landscapes and may even see some local wildlife. Keep an eye out for signs leading to Bosque Protector Mindo Nambillo. When you arrive at the entrance, you will see a sign indicating the reserve.
Public Transport
From the main square in Mindo, take a local bus that is heading towards San Carlos. Buses typically leave every 30 minutes. The ride will take around 15 minutes. Once you disembark at the San Carlos bus stop, you can ask locals for directions to Bosque Protector Mindo Nambillo. It is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the entrance of the reserve, following the signs.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle in Mindo, start from the central square. Ride south on Calle 9 de Octubre, then take the right fork in the road towards San Carlos. The ride is approximately 30 minutes. Keep a steady pace as the road can be bumpy in places. Look for signs that lead to Bosque Protector Mindo Nambillo as you get closer. You will need to park your bicycle at the entrance.
