Getting There

    From the center of Mindo, head towards the main road (E28). Walk along the main street until you reach the intersection with the E28 highway. This should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you reach the E28, look for a bus stop where you can catch a bus heading towards Quito. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of El Pahuma Orchid Reserve.

    After you board the bus heading towards Quito, it will take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach your destination. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating El Pahuma Orchid Reserve, or ask the driver to alert you when you arrive. The bus will stop at a point close to the entrance of the reserve, from which you can walk a short distance to the main entrance.

    If you're feeling adventurous and would like to hike, you can start from the bus stop and head towards the entrance of El Pahuma Orchid Reserve. The hike is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take about 30-45 minutes depending on your pace.
