Walking
From the center of Mindo, start by heading towards the main road (E28). Follow the signs towards 'Quito.' Walk approximately 1.5 km until you reach the bus stop near the bridge over the Mindo River. Here, you can catch a bus heading to Quito.
Bus
Board a bus to Quito at the Mindo bus terminal. Make sure to inform the driver or conductor that you want to get off at Tumbaco or near El Viejo Ilaló. The bus ride will take about 1 to 1.5 hours. Keep an eye out for the Tumbaco exit.
Walking
Once you arrive at Tumbaco, get off the bus near the main square. From there, head southeast on Avenida Eloy Alfaro for about 800 meters. Turn left onto Via al Ilalo and continue walking straight for about 1 km until you see the entrance to El Viejo Ilaló on your right.
