Head northeast along Calle 9 de Octubre for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Calle 10 de Agosto. Turn right onto Calle 10 de Agosto and continue for approximately 300 meters until you see a sign for the bus stop to Nanegalito. Take a local bus or truck heading to Nanegalito, which should take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Refugio Paz de las Aves stop. From the bus stop, walk about 200 meters along the dirt road until you reach the entrance of Refugio Paz de las Aves.

  • Bicycle

    If you're renting a bicycle, start from the central plaza in Mindo. Head northeast along Calle 9 de Octubre for approximately 500 meters. Turn right onto Calle 10 de Agosto and continue for about 300 meters until you reach the bus stop for Nanegalito. Continue straight on the main road instead of taking the bus, and cycle for about 6 kilometers in the direction of Nanegalito. Follow the signs, and after passing through the small town, you will find Refugio Paz de las Aves on your left side.
