I recently returned from a wonderful four-day tailor-made trip to the Ecuadorian rainforest organised by Live Ecuador in April 2026, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organised. The trip was truly off-the-beaten-track and immersive. I stayed in a Waorani indigenous village, which gave me a rare and respectful insight into their culture and daily life. We did both day and night walks through the jungle, river trips, piranha fishing, and plenty of opportunities to engage in local activities. The wildlife encounters were unforgettable – playiong with villagers’ pet monkeys, a beautiful baby tapir, and many other wild animals in their natural habitat. I was lucky to have two fantastic guides. Carlos was an outstanding guide – knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the jungle. Guami was not only a great companion but also an excellent cook who prepared delicious meals throughout the trip. Meloni was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout. After I accidentally lost my phone in the river during one of the excursions, she stepped in to assist and made sure everything was sorted. That level of personal care really stood out.
