  • Walking

    From the center of Mindo, start at the main square, Plaza de Mindo. Head southeast on Calle 9 de Octubre towards Calle José Rivas. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Quito. Turn right onto Avenida Quito and follow it for about 1 km. You will eventually see signs for Huasipungo and Pucará de Rumicucho along the way. Keep an eye out for local trails leading off the main road; these often connect to the ruins.

    From the center of Mindo, walk to the bus terminal located near the main square. Look for buses heading towards Huasipungo. Once you board, inform the driver you are going to Pucará de Rumicucho; they will drop you off at the nearest point. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes.
