If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Macas, which is a central hub in Oriente. Head west on the E45 highway towards the town of Sucúa. After approximately 30 kilometers, take a left turn onto the road marked for Ozogoche, which will guide you through the scenic countryside. Continue on this road for about 20 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Lagunas de Ozogoche. Be prepared for unpaved sections of the road, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Parking is available at the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Lagunas de Ozogoche via public transportation, start at the Macas bus terminal. Look for buses heading to Sucúa. The fare is approximately $1.50 and the journey takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive in Sucúa, you will need to find a local taxi or a shared van that can take you to Ozogoche. This taxi ride will cost around $10 and take an additional 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to go to Lagunas de Ozogoche, and they will know the way.
