Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, Tena. Take the E20 highway south towards Puyo. After about 1.5 hours, you will reach Puyo. From Puyo, continue on the E20 for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the town of Mera. In Mera, follow the signs towards Shell. Once in Shell, continue on the road until you reach the sector Te-zulay, where Treehouse is located. Look for the address: Provincia Pastaza, cantón Mera, parroquia Shell, sector Te-zulay Parroquia, Shell 160101. Make sure to have a GPS or map application handy, as rural roads can be tricky.
Public Transportation
To reach Treehouse using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Tena to Puyo. Buses leave frequently from the Tena bus terminal and the trip takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Puyo, transfer to a bus heading to Mera. After about 30 minutes, you will arrive in Mera. From Mera, you will need to take a taxi or a local bus to Shell. Make sure to inform the driver to drop you off at sector Te-zulay. The total cost for bus rides should be around $3 to $5, and the taxi from Mera to Shell may cost around $10 to $15.
